When people exchange information, in addition to language, photos serve as a highly effective means of communication. In scientific discourse, images are often the most direct and efficient mode of communication, and many significant innovations in biological imaging technologies have received recognition through Nobel Prizes. In the current era, biological imaging technologies are diverse, ranging from functional imaging to super-resolution microscopy, allowing the observation and documentation of biological phenomena that were previously challenging to observe. This course not only introduces fundamental knowledge in microscope development but also establishes microscope projects and microscopic image analysis methods, including deep learning. It will also include guided visits to certain instrument facilities, exploring current technological bottlenecks and solutions.
