This English course aims to build the confidence of pre-service teachers in using English to effectively comprehend the information and express their ideas. The core focus will be on developing the four language skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing - through engaging with authentic materials in real-world texts. Course materials will be drawn from a diverse range of authentic sources related to three educational topics: technology-enhanced language learning, social-emotional learning, and the growth mindset. Students will explore these topics through individual and group activities, discussions, and presentations that facilitate active use of English in daily and academic contexts. The course will utilize an interactive approach, immersing students in practical language use. Assessments will evaluate their progress in the four skills.
