This foundational data science course is intended for students from various disciplines, focusing on practical data analysis tasks. Prerequisites include basic knowledge of statistics and probability; however, beginners are welcome. The course utilizes statistical concepts and R programming for data analysis.

Course objectives: - Understand key statistical concepts for data analysis. Acquire practical skills in data manipulation, visualization, and analysis using R. - Conduct exploratory data analysis to unveil trends and patterns. - Use probability distributions for data modeling. - Apply inferential statistics for estimation and hypothesis testing. - Implement resampling methods for statistical variability assessment. - Perform ANOVA for group mean comparisons in complex designs. - Build and interpret linear and logistic regression models for prediction and classification.
