本課程的目的在於使學生由淺入深學習積層製造(3D列印)技術之基礎概念,包含認識各種主流 3D列印機構設計,層層堆疊加工方式,並透過材料科學與物理領域,進一步引導學生活用整合 所學科目,探討積層製造背後的科學意義。 This course aims to provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of additive manufacturing (3D printing), including the general introduction, la<x>yer-by-la<x>yer printing mechanism, and the concept of DfAM (Design of Additive manufacturing). In addition, this course module further focuses on the AM process's underlying physics and material science.

There are three sections in this course module, starting from a general introduction, printing mechanism, CAD/CAM system, reverse engineering, and the concept of DfAM (Design of Additive manufacturing). based on that, the AM process's underlying physics and material science are focused on in section two. Furthermore, state-of-the-art additive manufacturing technology such as multiple materials additive manufacturing and rapid additive manufacturing are also introduced. In addition, an AM process's safety and operative procedure is included to give students a gaudiness of designing/operating an AM system.
