The field of soft matter physics covers various interesting systems such as living matters (cells, bacteria, active particles, etc), polymers, colloids, liquid crystals, gels, complex fluids, granular materials, and other bio-related systems (DNAs, proteins, membranes, ... etc). In this course, we invite interdisciplinary researchers to share their recent research progress and to shed a light on connections between physics and above-mentioned topics (but not limited to). This course is an introductory seminar for students interested in soft matter, biophysics/bio-materials, and complex systems.
