本課程邀請國內外學術界的學者及實務界的專家進行演講與討論，希望能協助學生更深刻的了解工業工程與工程管理相關領域的 理論與實 務。 This course is to broaden students’ horizon in every aspect of Industrial Engineering by means of inviting speakers to give talks covering a variety of topics. The class will be held in a seminar form and the attendance is mandatory.

The class will be held in a seminar form and the attendance is mandatory. 成績考核(Evaluation)： ■ 出席率 ■ 課程參與 ■ 心得報告 成績說明: (1)Attendance (60%) ●You are allowed at most 3 absences in the whole semester and no documents are needed to justify the absence except 公假、喪假、確診. ●More than three absences, a "F" grade will be assigned. (2)Questions & Report (10%) ●Give some questions/comments during the speakers' presentation & the interaction with speakers. ●Write at least 1 report, which includes (but is not limited to): -你問的問題? 講者的回應(回答及說明)? -對於講者的回應，你的心得/感想/啟發? (Regarding the speaker's response, what are your thoughts/feelings/impressions/inspirations?) -反饋與建議? (Feedback and suggestions)? (3)Reports (for Invited Speaker's talk) (30%) ●Write at least 3 reports for invited speakers' talks. ●The reports should include (but not be limited to): -講者演講的內容概述(摘要)? (An overview/summary of the speaker's presentation?) -你的心得/感想/啟發? (what are your thoughts/feelings/inspirations?) -反饋與建議? (Feedback and suggestions)? (4)Speakers’ feedback & Class Participation (+/-10%) ●Class Participation, Give questions/comments, Interactions with speakers, … If you satisfy the attendance and questions/comments requirement, your final grade will be determined according to attendance, class participation, the interactions with speakers and reports.
