這門課程針對已修過基礎物理、近代物理及電磁學的大三以上學生,提供半導體材料及元件相關的基本知識。學生將深入研究p- n界面二極體、蕭特基屏障二極體、發光二極體、光偵測器、太陽能電池、雙極性界面電晶體、場效電晶體、量子傳輸以及集成 電路等元件的基本物理、操作原理與極限範圍。同時,課程強調這些知識在電機工程領域的實際應用。
Course keywords: device modelling and simulation、device physics、devices、nanoelectronics ● 課程說明(Course Description) The objectives of this course aim to provide students with comprehension of semiconductor physics and principles related to semiconductor devices. These objectives serve two purposes: (a) laying the necessary groundwork (physical principles) for electrical engineering majors to progress to advanced courses, and (b) establishing fundamental knowledge regarding the operation and limitations of the three key electronic devices—1) p-n junctions, 2) bipolar transistors, and 3) field-effect transistors. This knowledge proves valuable for both electrical, device and computer engineers, enabling them to stay updated on advancements in semiconductor devices and integrated circuits throughout their extended careers in either field. ● 指定用書(Text Books) Fundamentals of Semiconductor Devices by Betty L.
