This course aims to provide opportunities for learning academic papers presentation and discussion. Each student will be expected to present a peer-review article and discuss it with classmates and the teacher. Through reading the newest scientific papers, students will also acquire the concepts of research design and novel experimental techniques.
Course keywords: 書報討論; Seminar Course Requirements: 1. Course requirements will be presented in the first class, including paper selection, presentation order, and grading criteria. Student presentations will be started in the third class. 2. Presented papers will be assigned from neuroscience-related journals and published in the last two years. 3. The presenter has to provide the paper to classmates and the teacher one week before the presentation week. Each presentation should be finished in 30-35 minutes, and the discussion will be in the next 10 minutes. 4. The host will be the presenter responsible for the brief introduction at the beginning and the Q&A session after the presentation. 5. Students should read the paper before each class and participate in the Q&A session. Each student should have at least three questions in the semester. 6. Grading: Oral presentation 70%; Q&A 20%; Attendance 10 %.
