Brief

This course is a graduate level course on star and planet formation. These two are combined since planets form during star formation. The course aims to provide a broad overview of the current direction and hot topics within star formation. It will cover both theoretical and observational approaches that reveal the physical processes during star and planet formation. The first part of the course will cover clouds and dense cores. The second part will cover on protoplanetary disks, planets, Kuiper Belt, comets and meteorites. It will end with understanding the exo-planetary systems.

Lectures will cover a broad range of topics in star formation from clouds, dense cores, protoplanetary disks, planet formation, Kuiper Belt, meteorites, and exoplanets. It will cover both theory and observational aspects of star formation.
