Green technology is a novel multidisciplinary science, including chemistry, physics, biology as well as material sciences, to not only monitor, model and conserve the natural environment and resources, but also curb the negative impacts of human activities. In this course, basic concepts and applications of green technology are discussed; furthermore, circular economy for sustainable environment is also introduced to provide students a picture that how green technology utilize to our daily life in the future.

In this course, basic concepts and applications of green technology are discussed; furthermore, circular economy for sustainable environment is also introduced to provide students a picture that how green technology utilize to our daily life in the future. II. Students learning outcomes After studying green technology, students should have the abilities described as following, 1. To realize the fundamentals and theories of green technology, including renewable energy, environmental purification/remediation, green catalysis/materials and circular economy. 2. To have the abilities to distinguish and describe the pros and cons of different renewable energy. 3. To be familiar with different environmental remediation as well as purification techniques. 4. To be able to illustrate the content and significance of circular economy. III. Required texts/materials Handout and journal articles IV.
