This course discusses "time" in the aspects of physics, biology, and decision making. In physics, we discuss special relativity and the correlation to the determinism. Is the future predictable? If so, do we have free will in decision making? We also discuss the role of time in biology.

The attendance and assignment for the two weeks are 10% in the final score. The students who want to take this course, whether on the list or not, have to attend to the class. Important information and requirements will be announced. (2) Participation and Discussion: 20%. The students are required to answer “questions for today” released in the class. (Except the holidays and examinations, 10 times in total) (3) Midterm examination: 20%. (4) Handwork and presentation: 20%. (5) Final examination: 20% (6) On line survey: 10 % (7) Bonus: 10%.
