This course is to provide the students an introduction to the fundamental concepts of controlled drug delivery systems, types of drug carriers that have been and/or are being developed and, particularly, detail desc<x>riptions in both the preparation approaches and mechanisms of their actions to achieve drug controlled delivery. For comprehensively understanding the rationales of drug delivery design with desired biodistribution profiles, pharmacokinetics and biopharmaceutics are partially introduced in this course.
