In this course we will cover the fundamental of semiconductor quantum dot spin qubits and their latest development. The teaching materials will be ba<x>sed on spin qubit review articles and research papers. We will also use QuTip python package for numerical simulations of spin qubits.

Teaching method: Lectures (1st half) + small group (2-3 person) presentation and discussion (2nd half) We will discuss topics including: Semiconductor quantum dots Fermi-Hubbard model Numerical simulation using QuTip Spin qubit control Spin qubit readout Experimental setup Materials for spin qubits Quantum simulation Spin-photon coupling Connecting distant spin qubits Benchmarking for spin qubits Evaluation: 30% Course participation 30% Homework (simple QuTip simulation) 40% Final small group presentation (slides and oral) Use of AI: Unrestricted use with no disclosure required
