This course aims to prepare students for upper-level writing to demonstrate and train analytical thinking, and to teach critical engagement with course materials, all skills necessary for success in university studies. Students will learn how to summarize, paraphrase, and quote with proper citation according to APA documentation st<x>yle. Students will also learn to write well-organized essays with thesis statements, topic sentences, and supporting details ba<x>sed on the rhetorical modes covered in class, through the writing and revising of different modes. They will also learn how to use technology tools to enhance writing performance efficiently and effectively.
