Brief

This course will help students to set up basic understanding on how research work goes. We will invite every faculty member in our institute to introduce their research. In addition to that, a regular seminar will also provide students to know the major/important topics in current research. For the lectures in this semester, the focus will be how to read a research paper and how to find related literature to certain topic.

Lectures on preparation to thesis work -Where to find literature related to your work -How to read a paper -How to make a scientific report (Probably for the next semester) 2. Faculty presentation Most of our faculties will be presenting their current work 3. Friday Seminar You should attend the Friday talk (at either NTHU or NCTU) for at least 7 times and submit your notes before the next Monday. Grading: Participation in lectures (40%) Faculty presentation (30% for presence) Friday joint seminar (30% for report)
